Thanks to the generosity of our partners, volunteers, contributors, supporters, new and old, we were able to get them off to a great start for the 2016-2017 School year.
They are ready to tackle those books. Especially Ms. Clodia and Mr. Adison who are attending school for the first time. Watch Out Academic World, the new intellectuals have entered the scene!!!![/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”WHAT AN EXCITING SUMMER WE HAD!” color=”custom” accent_color=”#19192f”][vc_column_text]In May our children visited MUPANAH, the Haitian national museum and learned more about their history. On the same day, they also took a trip to Parc Leclerc where they got to see different national plants and flowers.
In June our family from Valley Family Church in Kalamazoo Michigan came to visit us and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their presence!
In July of course our annual Art Day Celebration was sensational!
In August we took the children to the country in Miragoine and had an awesome time. They climbed trees to pick fresh avocados, cherries and other fruits.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”1454,1453,1457,1444,1445,1449,1450,1452,1451,1446,1458,1459,1460,1461″ autoplay=”yes” title=”VACATION SLIDER” css=”.vc_custom_1474660979637{background-color: #1195a6 !important;}”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”1466″][vc_single_image image=”1417″ style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”1419,1420,1422,1423,1418,1412″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_custom_heading text=”July 21-22, 2016 marked our 5th Annual Art Day Celebration where we introduced Yoga, by Kitty Stinson; Poetry writing, by Martine Longchamp and Kitty Stinson; Vision boards by Kiziana Jean-Louis and Sherry Martin-Peters and expressing through paint with the “ I AM” statement with Kaylin Silva.
The children also made some amazing jewelry with Maya and showcased their artistry by participating in a mini fashion show.
We thank God for our partners, sponsors, contributors, volunteers, for their extraordinary contributions, and of course we would not even exist without the children of Kominote Ti Fanmi Nou de Diakonos, Sapotille Family Home, Etablissement de Bienfaisance or Les Orphelins, G20, and Good Samaritan Children Home.
Thank you all for an amazing 5 years. See you next year!
