Kominote Ti Fanmi Nou (Our Small Community of Family) is the children’s home at the heart of our mission. It provides a safe and permanent family haven for orphans, abandoned and destitute children where they can play, learn, grow, and develop an intimate relationship with Christ so they can grow into healthy, happy, educated, God-fearing, and productive young adults who will become the next generation of Haitian citizens.
Project Details
Kominote Ti Fanmi Nou
The home is located in the poor and ill-serviced town of Port-au-Prince called Carrefour.
The children in the home benefit from:
A loving family environment
Wellness care
Education (academic and/or vocational)
Biblical and Life Skills Training
Currently the home is in desperate need of a safer building to live in. We are first in urgent need of finances to rebuild.
Due to the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, the structure of the orphanage is finally caving in. It is increasingly becoming unsafe to live in, but there is no other option at this time. We made minor repair to the roof which was leaking but the possibility of it collapsing still remains. Each day we pray that the structure would not collapse on the children and they would continue to have rooms to sleep in, a kitchen to eat or cook in, a room to do their homework, and they do not end up sleeping outside.
How Can You Help?
Click here to help us raise the finances needed to proceed with the plans. We are turning children that are at risk for being sold or abandoned to the streets every day and we would love to take on more but at the moment, we do not have sufficient rooms for them to live comfortably. Thank you in advance for your investment!
