Montessori School

In the fall of 2018, we will be starting our Montessori school for our ages 3-6 kids. In order to set up the classroom appropriately, we are in need of specific Montessori materials for the classroom. Won’t you please help donate to our cause of training these kids to be the next generation of productive leaders in Haiti.

What is Montessori? It is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. Children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process.

Help Us Build!

We have the building plans, now we urgently need to raise $300,000.00 (three hundred thousand dollars) to rebuild Diakonos International’s children’s home –  Kominote Ti Fanmi Nou.

Almost 9 years after the earthquake, our current home is patch-worked together and we have recently found termite damage. We are in urgent need of rebuilding a safer building and are working tirelessly to see that our children have the shelter they deserve. We currently have 25 children, but would ultimately like to house 50 children – but we simply cannot do so in an unsafe environment.
